When did the New Covenant and Church begin?


Hebrews 9:16-17
“For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”

After Jesus died, resurrected, was glorified and sat down on the throne.

When did the Church become the Church?
It is still a work in progress, but the after Christ ascended on high he gave gifts to men and sent the Spirit of God to earth. The baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:4 was the genesis of the New Testament Church not the Gospel of Matthew. To interpret the Gospels as the New Testament is inaccurate and can dilute sound doctrine. These books are intermediary between the Old and New Covenants. Technically, they are the Old Covenant.
