How does revelation sound sometimes?

  • It could sound like something you have never heard before. Not of this creation.
    • John 7:46, “The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.”
  • It deeply stirs the inner-most part of our being.
    • Luke 24:32, “And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?”
  • It could even sound too good to be true. So why believe it? “Too simple, even easy. There has to be a catch. Loop hole.”
    • Acts 13:41, “Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.”

John 14:24, “He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

John 3:17-18, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

Religion kills and condemns. The letter kills, 2 Cor. 3:6. The Spirit gives His Life, Rom. 8:1-2. Revelation imparts His will, love and life.
