Flesh is disarmed

Gal. 5:22-23, “And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law;”

Driving behind car today. They took their sweet time. This verse and the kinds of fruit came to mind.

As I bear fruit, others are effected by it. It is not self-inspired, but Spirit and grace compelled. Since the motive is not fear based the effect is not always the same. The effect is also lasting because the fruit is real. The fruit is His character, essence and godliness.

1 Tim. 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

The flesh is disarmed, Col. 2:15, by grace, Rom. 8:2-3.

Bearing grace and loved-based fruit draws others to Him in us or Him.

John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL [men] unto me.”

John 6:44, ““No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
