Doesn’t sound like free will to me?

Romans 7:15,

For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

I always hear about free will before Christ. After reading this verse again 28 years later this sounds like slavery. Slaves don’t have free will. Food for thought.

Also, the premise is Romans 7 is referring to pre-salvation. How’s that for the heresy of the day?
