Death not imputed

Romans 5:12-14, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin (and death by sin) is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.”

Death could be the separation from Life and or the knowledge of Life. Tree of life, Gen. 2:9.

When there is no self-imposed law sin is not continually or habitually imputed passively over and over again anymore. The spiritual criminal or juvenile record is wiped clean and remains way because His forgiveness does change. His will and love do not change. He is love. Shall we continue in sin that grace abound? No, Titus 2:11-12, Rom. 6:1-23, Heb. 10:26, Jude 1:4.

Proverbs 14:12, 16:25 (NIV), “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

2 Cor. 3:5-6 (NIV), “Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant-not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

Self-imposed law will not impart true life. It can impart self-deceit, pride and a false sense of security until its foundation is shaken by circumstances of life and pressure. Things that are real only become more real or what they already are. Things that aren’t real are exposed by the light and truth.

We are under grace, Rom. 6:14. Sin and death do not have authority over Christ in us or us in Him. Since my conscience is purged from dead works and the knowledge of the guilt and penalty of the law it is being sanctified and purified by grace and revelation. In turn, this creates pure motive and revelation. The just shall live by His faith in them unto knowing.
