An oracle within

oracle:
4. a person who delivers authoritative, wise, or highly regarded and influential pronouncements.
5. a divine communication or revelation.
6. any person or thing serving as an agency of divine communication.

Christ is the oracle within the beloved. He is the divine communication and revelation who delivers authoritative, wise, and highly regarded influential pronouncements. He is the Deliverer. He delivers because He is. Speaking of the gospel Paul says in Galatians 1:12, “For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Again in Galatians 1:15-16, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called [me] by his grace, to reveal his Son in me

Paul is speaking of a knowledge that has been kept hidden since the foundations of world. It is revealed by grace and not because we are individually special although we are in His eyes. Even so, He is impartial. That is His nature because He is love. His love is non-partisan and just. It keeps no record of wrongs so how could anyone be any better than someone else if no one in Him has a negative record? That which was against us an contrary to us was nailed to the His cross in His flesh and taken out of the way creating one new man, Him.

This new man that Ephesians and other epistles mention is the revelation of Him IN us. Peter says in 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and forever. Amen.” The word knowledge is the Greek word gnosis. It means “knowledge gained by experience.” The strengthened form of this word is epignosis or eh-pi-gi-know-sys.

Preceptaustin.org says this about epignosis. Epignosis is a strengthened or intensified form of “gnosis” and conveys the thought of a more full, larger and thorough knowledge. It also conveys the idea of an intimate and personal relationship than the simple term. Full, perfect, precise knowledge thus signifying a more complete, more thorough, larger knowledge than that found in gnosis.

I highly recommend a Word study on these two words.

Hebrews 8:10 says, “For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:”

Now, how is He going to do that? Through His only beloved (God’s love) Son Jesus. When I turned my heart by His grace and His initiation Christ showed me that He tore the veil to the Holy of Holies. He is the High Priest and has been so forever! The Holy of Holies is where we have total communion, union, relationship, fellowship, intimacy, eternal transformation, power, love, confidence, grace, and of course more. There is always more with a God who is immortal, eternal, omnipotent, etc. He is bigger than big. Picture the universe inside you. He is bigger than that! Colossians 1:16 says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”

So, as those who are in Christ grow in this epignosis and grace of Him they become more saved or more whole/complete in their spirit, soul, and body. Paul said he was renewed daily in his inner man. I’ve noticed when I receive revelation and have a life experience I use the revelation or the revelation uses me to resolve the situation. The particular experience is now written on my heart and ever-etched in my mind. The experience is archived in us in present tense. The experience is “now” all the time. Hebrews says, “Now, faith…” Also, I see that revelation comes very naturally. Ephesians 4:7, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” The revelation is given because of grace. It doesn’t come from outer space though. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Just like the photosynthesis of a plant. The plant doesn’t jump up and down demanding the sun to shine. The plant receives what it needs from the sun because it is the nature of the sun to be the sun and shine. Back to the experience. The experience NEVER goes away. It compounds, re-establishes, reinforces, and is quickened with other experiences. The revelation of Christ is exponential, boundless, and infinite. Prior to living hundreds of years, trees never died and neither did we (prior to the Fall.) My point is the tree is ever-growing and stretching its branches and roots. Also, what God engraves into the hearts of men does not go away. It is eternal. The engraving itself is eternal. Paul talks about godliness profiting in the life to come. Jesus says His word lasts forever. Peter says the Word is an incorruptible seed. This seed is Christ and is in those who believe He is who He is. He is the revelator and oracle in us.
