The long Greek word for ‘forgetting those things which are behind’ is epilanthanomai.

It means to intensely, willfully forget or even give to oblivion.

The reason I forget what’s behind is because I want to according to His good pleasure, power and will revealed in n me to be me in Him and who I was before the foundations of the earth in Christ according to the purpose of the Father placed in His beloved Son.

Under the law, I am incapable of not forgetting due to the expectation of the law.

My new nature is to live NOW perpetually and passively compelled according to revelatory faith, hope and love.

My new spirit man and nature is always NOW and independent of time by design. My new nature is compelled and desires to bring forth fruit and good works in Christ.

Rom. 5:1 (NIV), “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..”

Our justification rests through His faith in us by revelation and grace.
The expectation of praise and or condemnation through self-imposed law is nullified in Christ. This reveals His will. Strong revelation.

Prior to, I was constantly waiting, expecting, looking forward to and anticipating the results of my expectations. I was ensnared by myself. “Who will separate me?” “Who wil will separate me from the body of this death?” I was and am not able to do so.

Expectation

1. the act or the state of expecting: to wait in expectation.
2. the act or state of looking forward or anticipating.
3. an expectant mental attitude: a high pitch of expectation.
4. something expected; a thing looked forward to.

His will in,

Rom. 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

passively removes our “old will” and even expectation in His liberty by His glory (Christ raised by the glory of the Father); even because of Who He Is; He Is. Our intellect (fleshly brain organ) cannot grasp this and is unable to. It is spirit and life to one’s spirit not one’s brain organ. God is a Spirit. It is God communicating, imparting, quickening His essence through His life-giving word sent in Chris Himself, the Word made flesh.

Romans 2 talks about our thoughts condemning us or praising us. Now, in Christ, when old natured thoughts surface or manifest am I condemned?

No. Why?

My right standing with God NEVER changes under grace. It is not its nature. In actuality, my nature now, in Christ, IS righteousness ALL the time.

He is our righteousness and dwells in us. We partake of His righteousness by grace and revelation.

My old nature, the body of this death how Paul describes, is hellbent. It desires to be in control by using the law which empowers the old nature. I have been bought with a price. My nature is new all the time.

So, I can try to condemn myself, but that is just me chasing my tail and not redeeming the time in Christ. Even in my efforts to condemn or praise myself based on the law written in my heart the Father eternally sees me the same as His only begotten, my elder Brother.

Entanglement is just that. So, untangle yourself then. Paul said to cast out the bond woman and her son (legalism, entanglement). Realize and focus on the liberty wherewith Christ has set us free! Amen.

I am not living if I am not living my life in, by and through His faith which comes by my spirit man and heart receiving the quickened word of God. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

In Christ, If I have a thought to eat a burger did I eat it?

When Jesus was on the earth, Galatians declares He was born under the law. He preached and taught under the law as well. I do not hear this taught in church, but it is very true.

Hebrews says He is our Testator of the New Testament (Covenant). Which went into effect when He sat down at the right hand of the Father.

Salvation was not available in Christ until He ascended on high.

The Testator had not died to annul the previous covenant or put into effect the New Covenant (it was not possible without His death).

Why does any of this matter?

I have experienced much controversy regarding Matt. 5.

My request is to read it again in the following context:

• He and the hearers were under the law. The majority Jewish.
• The hearers were not saved.
• Jesus’ message was, “You cannot fulfill the law. I am have come to fulfill it. I am the end of the law. You are a sinner. I am the Way.”

If this is the context all of the gospels (old testament) are read in a totally different, brighter light of truth.

A brother gave me permission to write about his experience so here it goes. Periodically, he’s told me of a particular struggle in his thought life <fill in the blank> that affects his walk and marriage. He said it is irritating and annoying and wasn’t sure if he had OCD or was going crazy.

Essentially, in a normal day a certain thought enters his mind. He does not want to discuss this with his wife. He has before, but takes responsibility for her decision and is also daunted himself because this thought is like a broken record. Eventually, he does.

I discovered after talking with him that open and honest dialogue along with long is the recipe to cook the results. Jesus dwells in grace, power, mercy, light, love and truth. My friend shares with his wife. And she is ever-so-understanding and gracious enabling and empower him to move forward in the introspective journey. What he came to realize was this. The enemy at various times in a believers life will “bank” so to speak on a particular lie or bluff. The lie ties back to a few things. The believers past, when they were younger possibly, a hurt or wound, an expectation put on them, and or some sort of untruth. At that point in there life, their development and understanding may have been blinded and or stunted in so much that they became stuck. Hence, an eventual stronghold.

Time goes on, the stronghold’ grip increases along with its familiarity and I would say even comfort. The believer has enmeshed this bluff into there identity and basis of worth.

In order to confront the bluff, he had to call it. The enemy will have to show his cards if he wants to win. The truth is undefeated.Understanding came for my friend and rather than focus on the bluff. He now can focus on John 10:10 which more abundant life!

He also discovered minimizing this internal dialogue had potential to empower the bluff. Sharing the dialogue and nourishing it in prayer and word eventually completely nullifies the bluff and lie.Minimizing cannot empower, but empowering will minimize and obliterate that which it is in power over.

As this process continues a cycle, growth naturally occurs. In that growth, new perspectives and realities are birthed along with new responses, insights and actions which in turn bring His blessings. This is what is said in Ephesians 1:3.

Tonight, I went to CR and heard a powerful testimony I could relate to. I was very blessed and encouraged. I am not sure if it was due to the testimony or abstaining from the television lately, or certain prayers, or just over time itself, but as God willed it He spoke to my heart and said, “You don’t have to be responsible for someone else’s emotions.“

It’s so amazing EVERY time God speaks through His Son, Heb. 1:2. I mean I can read for decades the sky is blue, but then Jesus says, “The sky is blue”, and it takes on a whole new meaning that I never knew existed. Perhaps, the testimony giver tonight imparted grace. When people open their hearts and are transparent in CR and acknowledge specifically and detailed how God has intervened and transformed their lives a familiarity can be created, 1Thess. 2:8. If I can relate to a testimony on a “heart level” then my heart is opened. If my heart is opened, grace has worked in this person’s life, His word is being declared then this is fertile ground for seed of His word to be buried, or water inside to blossom or bloom depending on the seed relation to what is being heard.

It also seems the Lord knows the EXACT time to speak His word. Wow, man that’s so crazy. Boggles me little mind. Ok, so it seems that He also spoke to me in my heart because He knew where my heart was. Another Wow. Who is this Jesus? One day, I will meet Him. The One Who was and is and is to come.

That was an awesome tangent.

Back to what I heard.

Eph. 6:6, “Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.”

Col. 3:22, “Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God.”

Looks like a servant of Christ is not responsible for someone else’s emotions¹. So, whoopty do. This is a theological term. And I didn’t even go to Bible college. Lol. Well, for me personally, when I saw this and its implication in my own life I felt a burden lifted. I came home to write it down immediately. God said write it down! Light will flash and then the flash is gone. I pray in the time to come this word compound exponentially unto the fullness of His stature in me and His beloved Body. Should be exciting.

It reads very differently. It reads as if Paul is referring to his old man prior to Christ.

John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh…”

John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

The Greek root word  for made and born is ginomai. It means:

• to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being

What does this mean? When I say that I’m really asking what does this sound like when it is spoken directly from His mouth? It will sound different. It will be spirit and life¹. And why is that? He is life. He is the “Ever Existent One”. The Creator.

I am realizing that one of the attributes of quickened rhema² word is that it can be into existence or receive its being when spoken or written down. Ironically, that is also a definition of rhema, “Word spoken and or written down.” Rhema is spirit and life. The medium and substance could be spirit. The essence of rhema could be life. Without faith it is not received. A hardened heart is unable to receive either. The heart is the valve to the channel of the ear. Faith first comes by hearing. Then hearing the rhema of Christ.

When I bear true godly fruit where does that come from? Spirit. Spirit generates spirit or after its own kind.

When I speak in an unknown tongue the Spirit generates spirit.

My actions governed by mind through my members are generated. How else could I be a witness?

My very nature and being is constantly regenerated³.

It seems the nature of ginomai from the perspective of spirit is immortal. Death cannot co-exist with it. It may not even be considered reality when compared.

As believers, I am strongly persuaded we have the ability to generate to bring spiritual things into being by the Spirit and grace in truth.

Last question. What are the implications?

For the past three to six months I have been experiencing my own personal struggles and I mean hard stuff (for me). Tonight, I felt His Light enter my spirit man. It was and is amazing. He is amazing!

Hebrews 4:15, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.”

More verses: Hos. 6:6; 1 Cor. 1:5, 15:34; 2 Cor. 4:6; Eph. 1:17; Col. 1:9; 2 Pet. 1:2

When He speaks He speaks quickened spirit and word. One fruit of the Spirit of God is faith. I believe God does not put His faith into anything because He already knows. If I am a a child of God and co-heir with Christ then I should “know” some things as well in His time and power as well as my brother and sister. Amen.

This is plainly what I saw. He knows what I am struggling with and what I desire.

Whoopty-doo. It is one thing to read the red text and another to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Lazarus heard, “Rise Lazarus.” Uh huh. When I heard, perceived and or realized this I was surprised. I have been so focused on my struggle that I became spiritually myopic like a frog with 20/20 vision slowly boiling in water then its too late, but if the frog’s name is Lazarus it is NEVER too late.

I realize HE KNOWS. He knows what I want so badly! He knows what I struggle with everyday and moment. Now, I am partaking of something. I am partaking of the understanding (unto knowledge and knowing) that “He knows”. This does something. To know that God knows. It takes faith to know that He knows, but even that is His faith in me that He deposited. Praise God.

He is so good and that much more with no end every day. His goodness is holy. It is pure. It is real. The nature of Him (His goodness) and the realization or rather revelation of this imparts grace. It imparts Him. It diffuses Him into the receiving vessel. His nature permeates in the knowledge of Him.

Knowing He knows supernaturally creates godly comfort. Where else does the comfort comes from during this process? It is actually created because He IS! He is the God of All Comfort. This comfort brings His rest and godly energy. It is grace. The power unto whosoever that believes upon Him that works mightily even as unto His resurrecting power bring dead things to life and things that be not as though they were because of His nature and truth. Truth causes trees to bend to the sun. Truth causes our wills and nature to be like His if it is revealed and wholeheartedly received.

This leads to the next question. What else does God know? Exactly. What a privilege to be a partaker of and with Him. Thank You Father for Your Only Begotten Son Jesus. Who was and is and is to come. So be it forever.
